Meet The Staff

Jana Apel, Registered Dental Hygienist

Jana was born and raised in Louisville, KY and graduated from the University of Louisville Hygiene Program. Jana has practiced as a dental hygienist for over 36 years and has worked at Distler Family Dentistry for 23 years. Prior to becoming a dental hygienist, Jana was a dental assistant. Outside of the office, Jana enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys reading a new novel and her pets.

Kimberly Butler, Registered Dental Hygienist

Kimberly moved to Louisville from Bowling Green, KY approximately three years ago. She has extensive experience in the dental hygiene field practicing for over 20 years at a variety of dental and dental specialist offices. She obtained her dental hygiene degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her daughter currently attends University of Kentucky. Kimberly and her husband enjoy traveling, college football, and trying out new restaurants in the Highlands

Jessica Blanton, Registered Dental Hygienist

Jessica is from Louisville, KY and graduated from University of Louisville Dental Hygiene Program. She has been practicing dental hygiene for almost 20 years and has been a great recent addition to our practice. While not treating patients, Jessica loves traveling, kayaking, crocheting, and gardening. She is happily married; and, she has one son and one daughter. Her family also enjoys spending time with their two beloved dogs.

Dawn Weihe, Office Administrator

Dawn was born and raised in Louisville, KY, graduating from Assumption High School and then Bellarmine University. Prior to starting at Distler Family Dentistry, Dawn worked in the medical field in insurance, coding, and patient advocacy. While away from the office, she enjoys helping her children live their best lives; supporting their activities through UofL, Assumption, and Saint Xavier. Dawn is happily married, Stephen, and has three children.

Dana Kelley, Treatment Coordinator/Insurance Specialist

Dana is originally from Louisville, KY and went to ATA and the University of Louisville. She brings a wealth of dental knowledge to our practice, including: office managerial experience, dental insurance specialist, and financial coordinator. She has over 14 years of experience in the dental field. While not at the office, Dana enjoys live music, traveling and spending time with her two dogs and husband, John. She also has a daughter who is a nurse at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

SORAIDA UTRIA, Assistant

Soraida, moved to Louisville, KY from Cuba over 25 years ago, has over 33 years of experience in the dental field. She was a dentist in Cuba for 10 years prior to moving to the United States. She is a dental assistant/EDDA at our practice. Soraida is bilingual (Spanish and English), married, has two children, a stepson, two grandchildren and a spoiled dog named Chully. Outside of work, Soraida enjoys spending time with friends and family and especially traveling to Florida to visit her daughter.

Kristen Kiser, HYGIENIST

Kristen is originally from Estacada, Oregon. She graduated from the University of Louisville Dental Hygiene Program with high honors and numerous awards for both clinical and academic excellence. Outside the office, Kristen has two beloved cats, Aurora and Nova. She enjoys rock climbing at Climb NuLu, camping at Red River Gorge, and hiking local trails with her husband.

ARLENIS INFANTE, DENTAL ASSISTANT

Arlenis has lived in Louisville, KY for nearly 10 years. Originally from Cuba, Arlenis graduated from dental school in 2013. She moved to Venezuela to mission work for several years prior to moving to the United States in 2017. She has obtained her EDA certifications through the University of Kentucky. She is bilingual (Spanish and English). Outside of the office, she develops music at her Church with her husband, she has an amazing voice! She enjoys spending time with her three beautiful daughters. Her favorite spot to vacation is the beach.
